We are pleased to report that World-Outlook’s fall fund appeal was a success. Readers contributed nearly $1,300, exceeding our expectations and making it possible to continue to cover our expenses.
Your donations enabled World-Outlook to keep reporting on efforts by working people to defend ourselves against assaults by the employers—including union organizing drives at Amazon, strikes, and other labor battles; political questions such as the debate on critical race theory; protests seeking justice for victims of police brutality and racism, and defending women’s right to choose abortion; the example of the Cuban revolution; and now Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine and the responsibility of U.S./NATO in fueling that conflict.
With your support, World-Outlook has expanded its reach over the last six months. Highlights include an enthusiastic response to Panorama-Mundial—World-Outlook’s Spanish-language sister publication launched last October—that has meant increased circulation in Cuba, Mexico, Spain, and other Spanish-speaking countries; a 28% increase in subscribers (those who automatically receive all posts by email) to the current 156; and a new record of more than 12,000 views from 10,000 readers, and counting, of “BNSF Rail Workers Resist Cruel Attendance Policy,” our most popular article so far. The number of monthly contributors increased to four, a critical component of our finances enabling us to sustain our efforts long-term—a number we hope will grow.
We are grateful to every contributor for helping us make these achievements possible. You gave invaluable aid to the World-Outlook volunteers working to provide the clarity in political analysis and interpretation of events many young people, working-class fighters, and others around the world are searching for.
