Help World-Outlook Cover October 18 ‘No Kings’ Protests

Dear Readers,

This coming Saturday, October 18, 2025, protesters will take to the streets for the “No Kings” actions in hundreds of cities and towns across the United States.

These actions are part of the resistance to the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant raids and deportations, the threats to step up the use of the military to quell domestic protests, and attacks on free speech and other democratic rights — all part of a drive toward one-man rule.

Among the organizations urging its members to participate is the American Federation of Government Employees, which is speaking out against the stepped-up layoffs of federal employees and calling the current government shutdown “another authoritarian power grab by this administration.”

To find an action, follow this link to the “No Kings” webpage, expand the map, and click on the purple dot corresponding to a location near you.

We are asking those planning to attend any of these actions to send us accounts of your experience, which will enhance our reporting. What were the main demands, your estimate of the crowd, the slogans and chants, what organizations had contingents, any interesting conversations you may have with other participants?

And please send photos! Even a sentence or two with a picture that tells the story will help round out our coverage. (You can send the information to world.outlook.2021@gmail.com).

We also invite you to save the QR codes below to your phone so you can easily introduce people you meet to World-Outlook and its Spanish-language sister publication Panorama-Mundial.

We look forward to hearing from you!

  1. A little late but just heard from a friend who knows the organizers of the very small action I attended in Havertown , PA- 3,000 is the estimate! I have been having knee problems, so I parked myself near the tail end and didn’t walk the length of it. Forgot my phone too so no pics…The attendees lined both sides of a main street for about a mile. Most of the cars that drove by showed support with honks, waves, and hollers. There were a couple of trucks with large Trump 2024 flags … I read in another post that there was a small counter rally at the other end and there was a civil discussion between the two “sides.” I thought this was a slightly younger crowd than the others were earlier in the year. I am talking little events in Delaware County, PA. Kathy
